Congratulations! I am so excited for you and am honored that you are interested in working with me. My hope is that this guide will give you as much information as you need to see if we are a good fit! I want you to spend your special day with someone you are comfortable with and trust. I want that person to be me, and to provide you with the best experience ever.

I have been doing photography since 2014. Ever since I got my hands on my first DSLR, I fell in love with this creative outlet. After doing my first wedding that year, I knew that this was what I was meant to do. I absolutely LOVE capturing the love and emotion between two people. I want you to feel what I photograph. I want to document your love story as you remember it. Most importantly, I want you to have fun and not worry about a thing on your special day!

I love this quote. This is my happy place - when I can get you comfortable enough to let go and be yourself. To catch real connection between you and your loved one so that you can have something to bring you right back to that special moment is my ultimate goal. Destination weddings
Some of the most meaningful stories unfold far from home - and I'm always ready to follow yours wherever it leads. Whether you're planning an intimate mountaintop elopement or a coastal celebration abroad, I offer a special rate for destination weddings.
You'll receive a discount on your chosen collection, and simply cover my travel expenses (flight, stay, and local transport). I keep travel costs clear and easy, so you can stay focused on your experience - not the logistics.

Once you're booked
Once we both know that we are going to be a great fit, we get you officially booked. This means a signed contract and a 40% non refundable retainer (payment plans optional). Then a glass of wine to celebrate of course! :)
A wedding client guide will then be emailed to you that helps with setting up your timeline, some helpful tips and vendor recommendations. If the vendors are not local to where you are getting married, I will send you some others not listed in the guide.
We set up a date and location for your engagement session. I will provide you with some outfit inspiration and offer help to nail your vision!
I am always available to you - if you have any questions along the way!
A month before your wedding day, I send you a questionnaire to fill out any last minute details and information so that I can capture your day the best that I can.
Before you know it, your wedding day is here! On your special day, I arrive early (with Starbucks if it’s possible!). I will scope out the venue and introduce myself to everyone. Then the fun begins! I try to make you feel comfortable and calm throughout the day and not make it feel rushed...I want to make sure you enjoy every part of it!
A day or two after your wedding, I will send you some sneak peeks to enjoy while you wait for your gallery to be finished. It takes 4 weeks to complete.
Your gallery is delivered and you get to enjoy your day all over again!!
FAQ's
Do your prices include tax?
There is no tax on top of my prices. What you see on the investment page is the total.
Does it cost to have you travel?
If your wedding is over a one hour drive from Kelowna, BC, then yes, I do charge travel fees. Please know that I will do my best to keep these costs as low as possible for you.
How do you accept payment?
E-transfer to: sheilahbattersby@hotmail.com, CASH or Credit Card.
Do you accept payment plans?
I do accept payment plans, but require a 40% retainer before the wedding. Just let me know and we can figure something out that works best for you!
Do we need a second photographer?
If your wedding is larger then 100 guests and you are wanting all day coverage, I do recommend having a second photographer. This is complimentary with my top two collections! It provides you with different angles through out the day.
What do we do if it's raining on our wedding day?
If we know there is a chance it could rain, then I recommend having clear umbrellas on hand and I will also scout out a location where we can be covered. But sometimes embracing the rain makes for some really amazing photos!
Can we order prints or albums directly from you?
Yes! I am able to offer prints, albums, canvas and framed prints! You will find this option when you open your online gallery and you can order from there.
Do we have to provide you with dinner?
No, this is not expected but appreciated if you do offer! I always bring snacks if dinner isn't provided. So don't feel bad if you don't feed me. I usually just take a few minutes to eat while the bridal party eats, then it's back to shooting!
How many color and black & white photos will I receive?
Your whole gallery will include color photos. However, if you are a person who loves black & white pictures as much as me, don't worry! Over half of your photos are duplicated and made black & white.

In order to secure your date, I require a signed contract and a non-refundable 40% retainer. The remainder 60% is due 3 weeks before your wedding date. Payment plans are possible, just let me know if this is something you would like to do.
